I had serious Bridgerton vibes in my house when the guys at vintageteatrips.ie delivered their at-home afternoon tea box. If you fancy a treat during lockdown and want to know where you can get afternoon tea delivery service in Dublin, then check out this post.
Vintageteatrips.ie have launched their afternoon tea delivery service, and they kindly treated me to some afternoon tea. The afternoon tea menu is €25 pp, and €22 pp for bookings over four people.
Deliveries are on Thursdays – Sundays. Deliveries are only available in the Dublin area. Delivery fee costs €15 in Dublin 1 -12 and €20 to the rest of Dublin county.
If you are celebrating a birthday or special occasion during lockdown, and want to try something new, then at-home afternoon tea might be a fun option.
What Is Included In The At-home Afternoon Tea Delivery
The afternoon tea consists of a mixture of savoury and sweet treats. The seasonal menu consists of two sandwiches, a brioche bun, a fruit scone (with jam, clotted cream and butter) and three sharing desserts per person.
Any excuse to get my tea sets out! The goodies come wrapped in boxes, and you can use your fine china to set up your afternoon tea. I collect Royal Albert tea sets, so I had plenty of plates to choose from. You can shop vintage paper plates and napkins here.
I recommend swapping the tea for something a little stronger! Bubbles taste better with cake! You can upgrade to the VIP Afternoon Tea, which includes two of their branded Keep Cups and a complimentary bottle of prosecco for €16. I have a reel on Instagram where you can have a look at my afternoon tea set up. Find it here.
You can head to vintageteatrips.ie for more information on the service.
Like many businesses, they have had to create new ways to support their business. While the vintage tea bus is parked, you can still shop from the guys and avail yourself of their afternoon tea service.
The Vintage Tea Bus
You may have noticed the vintage tea tours bus driving around Dublin pre-Covid. Sadly, the bus has had to park up while we keep our heads down during the pandemic. I admire how the company has pivoted and created something new to help support their business during this time.
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of riding the vintage tea tours bus. I highly recommend it for a fun afternoon in Dublin when restrictions ease and when we are back to normal. You can check out that older post here. I will also leave the YouTube video below if you want to check it out.
Do let me know if you are planning an at-home afternoon tea. It is a fun idea, especially in Spring as the weather improves. Afternoon tea with your bubble in the garden is a perfect way to break up lockdown. Tag me in your afternoon tea setups over on Instagram, I would love to see them. Thanks for reading! Chat soon, Catherine.
