Afternoon tea in Ladurée Dublin

Tea for two

One of my goals for this year is to visit more pretty places and take more days off. So this week Camille and I went to Ladurée in Dublin to have afternoon tea. We got one of those deals off that we had seen on Facebook. It was a €45 for two people deal which included bubbles. We were delighted with this, so we planned it before payday when we knew we wouldn’t have much money left but still could have a treat.

Ladurée is located on the corner of South William St. A vibrant busy road, perfect for people watching if you can get a window seat. It is really easy to find and it is not as busy as the Ladurée in Paris and London. We went during the week so it may be busier on weekends. It has all the charm of the Parisian patisseries. If you are like me and you love your decor then you will love this cafe. It has stunning detail on the walls, the chairs look like french armoires and the tea pots and cake stands have a hint of rose gold.

For afternoon tea we had a selection of finger sandwiches, infamous macaroons, a selection of mini cakes and tea. We also got some bubbles with ours which is always a win on a sunny afternoon in Dublin. I saw one lady get a gorgeous salmon and eggs benedict breakfast which looked amazing. You can also just pop in for a tea and sit down, you don’t have to go for the afternoon menu like we did. I also highly recommend the hot chocolate too.

The cakes really tasted as delicious as they looked. It was a real treat to try new things. We let our server pick out our confectionary for our afternoon tea and had so much fun trying and tasting everything on the cake stand.

I felt like I was back in Paris when we were sitting sipping our bubbles and people watching out the window. My best tip if you want a window seat is to ring and reserve or even get their early. It is really nice to sit by and watch the world pass by. You can also purchase some treats to take away too at the counter. A great way to spend an afternoon catching up with friends.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. I would love to know your favourite places for afternoon tea or lunch. I love finding new places to go to. It is part of my to-do list this year, I want to visit and explore new places.

Thanks so much for reading,

This looks beautiful. I love afternoon tea but I haven't tried Laduree for afternoon tea yet but if I felt a bit flash of a lunch time when I worked at harrods I'd pop in on pay day for a lunch treat and the food was always so good! X
