My name is Catherine and welcome to my little floral, chalk painted, tea dress wearing, shabby chic corner of the internet. This is my place to share my love of all things shabby chic, my DIY tutorials and home projects, my vintage style fashion posts and homeware hauls. I started blogging back in February 2014 after purchasing my first home, I originally wanted to blog about fashion but as I only ever wear dresses (hence the name) I didn’t really have a direction, then that spring I had attended some furniture painting workshops and then my love of all things craft and interior blossomed. So then I became more confident in my blogging abilities as I had a bit more of a direction. I still share my outfit posts but I stick to what I love which is adorable tea dresses and outfits with a vintage flair. I have also started to share more personal posts on my blog as I grow and learn as a person. I have added a travel and places tab on my blog too so I can share posts on the cute places I visit. Blogging is my hobby and I do work full-time as a retail manager which at times it can be hard to stay consistent with blog posts, I also love to work on projects and make my crafty items after work too.
As my blog grows I aim to stay true to what my blog is about so I will always disclose at the bottom of my posts if an item was sent to me or if I was paid to promote an item. As tempting as it is to take free items I always only accept items that I love and would genuinely purchase myself. However at the moment Blondie the cat gets sent way more items than I do but hey she is #instafamous after all. This year I have been delighted to do some collaborations with Laura Ashley, Marks and Spencer, Dorothy Perkins to name but a few, if you are interested in collaborating then drop me an email by clicking the contact form and we can chat.
If you want to know more I have fun 20 random facts post if you want to read a little more.
From time to time I may work with brands and get paid to do so. I am also a member of reward style and I sometimes use affiliate links within my site. I always declare using AD on any posts where I have collaborated with a brand on a paid basis. Where I have used an affiliate link I will mention it at the end of the blog post. As my blog grows I have been able to work with some of my favourite brands and will continue to only work and endorse brands and products I truly love and ones I know you love too. The revenue I make from my blog enables me to put the money back into the blog and increase the quality of my content. Last year I was able to spend my blog revenue on better equipment and lenses for my camera so thank you for the continued support.
Look forward to hearing from you.
