In this post, I am sharing Mothers Day DIY gifts that will inspire you. In Ireland, Mothers day is on Sunday the 14th of March 2021. I know that this date is different in The US as it is slightly earlier in Ireland and the UK.
These DIYs are fab as Mothers Day gifts, but they are also a great way to spend an afternoon. One of my favourite memories was when I would create something with my Mam as a kid. She loves to bake, and I remember making fairy cakes with her.
I have dived into the archives to pull five of my favourite DIYs that would be perfect for Mothers day. Each idea will link to the original post, where you will find more information.
DIY Flower Box
You will be bombarded with flowers in the lead up to Mother’s Day, and they can be really expensive especially for the custom made flower boxes. Well, here is a budget-friendly gift for you.
I recycled an old teacup box and turned it into a floral display. I used some flowers from Lidl that were less than €5 for this DIY. Catch the full post here.
DIY Teacup Bird Feeder
The perfect present for the garden lover and a great way to reuse old china. I made a few of these and turned them into a wall display for my garden.
You don’t have to make a wall display but why not transform some old teacups into bird feeders that you can hang from a tree. You can get creative and wrap them in pretty gift boxes too. Read the full post here.
DIY Rose Scented Soaps
Possibly one of my fave DIY Mothers Day gift, making soaps using a melt and pour base was so much easier than I thought. I used some rose-scented oils on these and I also made a batch of lavender and lemongrass soaps too.
Your home will smell amazing if you make these, Catch the full post here.
Recycle Old Tins Into Succulent Pots
Succulents are so easy to maintain and keep alive. Perfect for the Mammy who forgets to water her plants.
Why not have a rummage through the cupboards and see if you can find some old tins and reuse them to plant your succulents. See how I made mine in this post here.
DIY Breakfast Serving Tray
Why not transform an old serving tray into something funkier and then use it to serve your Mammy some breakfast in bed.
I transformed this old brown serving tray with some spray paint and marble contact paper. Check out the full post here.
DIY Bath Caddy
You can’t beat a relaxing bubble bath! Late last year I recycled a piece of wood that I had leftover from a project and transformed it into a bath caddy.
You can even use wood glue for this DIY and skip the drill if you don’t have one. Catch the full post here.
Love Heart Trinket Dish
I love playing with air dry clay. You can get so creative with it. Why not get some clay and make these easy love heart-shaped trinket dishes.
Perfect for storing jewellery or trinkets on the bedside locker. See the post here.
DIY Balms & Pillow Spray
In this post, I share how to make your very own relaxing pillow spray. How to make a soothing hand balm by using beeswax, shea and coconut butter.
These beauty DIYs make perfect DIY Mothers Day gifts, and they are really fun to make.
I hope you got some inspiration from today’s post. You can have so much fun making these and you could even make these DIYs with your mam.
Let me know if you give them a try. You can share your DIYs with me over on Instagram, I would love to see them. Thanks for reading, Chat Soon, Catherine.
