Sunny Summer mornings with M&S
There is something about a Sunny Summer morning that just puts a smile on your face. Whether you are away on holidays or on your day off you just can’t beat that feeling of a slow-paced Summers morning. For me, I think it is waking up to the sunshine on my face that instantly lifts my mood. I make a habit of leaving my phone downstairs and let myself wake up naturally with no alarm. I head downstairs for some coffee and have my breakfast. Only then can I check in with whats going on in the world. As we are having some amazing weather at the moment I thought it would be great to pick some items from Marks and Spencer that will keep you cool on these unusually warm Summer nights. I am also going away on holiday’s in July so I picked items that are hand luggage friendly, good quality and pieces that will last you for more than one Summer season. Some hero pieces for Summer whether you are travelling or at home.
Hands up who loves lounging around in their comfy pyjamas of a Sunday morning. I love the slow pace of a Sunday morning and the lack of urgency it brings. Now, I have to admit I am a lover of really light pyjamas and loungewear as I am one of those people who feel the heat. I picked some lingerie and nightwear pieces from the Rosie for Autograph collection as I just fell in love with the print and fabric of them. I am also an awkward bra size which is why I love M&S lingerie as I can get my size in the bras. I also love that there were a few choices of matching underwear, I went for the floral higher waist knickers as I would be comfier in them compared to the briefs. It is all about the comfort of a Summers morning.
I love how romantic and feminine a camisole looks, the two that I have in today’s post are almost too pretty to just be worn as pyjamas. You would definitely get away with styling them and wearing them outside of the home. My pyjama bottom and camisole set are made from modal fabric. Modal fabric is lightweight, durable and breathable so this Pyjama set is perfect if you are travelling this Summer. If you don’t like the feeling of Pyjama bottoms and prefer a chemise then check out the strappy pull on one I have below. Nice and lightweight for when the temperature rises.
When I am on holidays I love the feeling of snuggling into a robe after a shower or bath. I love a luxurious robe so I picked this pure cotton dressing gown. So, now you can have that hotel robe feeling at home. This is also a fab length as if you are short like me you might feel swamped in dressing gowns. This one isn’t too long and it has a handy pocket at the front. A robe that will stand the test of time and it is great value at €22.
Now, I couldn’t team up with Marks and Spencer and not share some of their homeware pieces. I have used some pieces in today’s post that I know you will love. It is on my wishlist to try and grow Peonies but for now, I will have them all year round with this faux bunch in a vase. You might remember my other faux flowers bunches that I have from last year from M&S, these are such good quality and stand the test of time.
No Summers morning is complete without some breakfast in bed or some brunch al fresco, I picked up this wicker tray to use as a serving tray for breakfast in bed. You can also use this tray for displaying trinkets in other rooms of the home, it is multi-functional.
Lanterns and candles are not just for Winter. I love the vintage feel of this floral lantern, you can use this indoor or outdoors but I think it looks fab in the bedroom and you can just pop in a scented tea light inside it.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Please let me know what your go-to Summer pieces are and your favourite thing about a Summers morning. I have linked to the pieces in this post if you want to pick up any of them.
