My Winter Woollies Wishlist
It is time to wrap up as the colder weather is on the way. As the weather has been quite mild, I haven’t had a chance to wrap up and get all snuggly. So, when I heard the frost was on the way and there is a chance of some snow, I jumped at the chance to pop some woolly accessories in my shopping basket. Although I am not the biggest fan of Winter, I do love wrapping up and having some fun with accessories. Whether its a pom pom hat, a chunky scarf or some fun mittens, I like to treat myself to some new accessories in Winter. As we are heading nearer December and Christmas, I like to walk to work to avoid the traffic. After working a long shift in work the last thing I want to do is sit in anxiety-inducing traffic. So, I have decided to get back walking to work and I am going to walk on the busier days and the weekends. So, I treated myself to a new set of mittens and a pom pom hat to keep my head and hands warm whilst on my walks. I also put together a list of some of my fave pieces that are in shops now that I think you ladies will love.
The pom pom is still in and the bigger the better! I loved the fake fur pom pom hats from last year. I noticed that they are back again this year but there are even more options available. You can get hats with double pom poms, big ones, small ones, you name it the pom poms are in every size imaginable. I think there is something so fun and cute about a tassel hat. I went for this light pink one from Dorothy Perkins. I got it on offer which was even better. This is super cosy and so far it has kept its shape and hasn’t stretched. It also doesn’t itch my forehead. Remember being a kid and you would have a woolly hat on and it would itch like crazy! Don’t worry, this one doesn’t.
Mad for mittens
When I was a kid my mam had a string on my mittens so I couldn’t lose them. I was scrolling through Asos and I stumbled across a set with a string going through them, they gave me such a sense of nostalgia. I love how mittens have had a bit of a comeback. Yes, they are kind of annoying when you want to use your phone, but, they are really cute and they keep your hands warm.
I got a matching fingerless set of hand warmers. I got the matching ones to my hat. These keep your hands warm but your fingertips and thumb are free if you want to use your phone.
Let me know what your go-to accessories are for Winter, comment below if you have found any cute woolly items in the shops to keep the Winter chill away. Wrap up warm for the coming weekend as I hear it’s going to be a frosty one!
