Spring has sprung

Hi everyone.

Happy Easter.

The weather has been unusually amazing the last few days!

The clocks have changed and it’s officially spring, I love sunshine and it just lifts everyone’s mood.

I made the most of the sunshine and have a few pictures of things iv upcycled in the garden.

This little deck chair was sadly heading for the skip but I saw the potential!

I used a small tin of ronseal garden paint im the shade “sapling green”.

Keep an eye out for anyone throwing out old furniture as a lot can be salvaged and you’ll save a fortune.

Last year I painted my shade with Cuprinol stain in the shade “cherry blossom”.

I picked up the wooden bunting in dunnes stores for €10 and it is two metres long.

My garden is really simple, I have no fancy decking or fancy plants so I brighten it up with fun furniture.

This garden bench is for the front of my garden and it sits under my window.

I got this last year in the autumn sales for €45, I don’t have a before pic but it was dark green and wood.

I painted the sides in autentico “frozen fountain” and then sprayed the wood in an ivory shade with cheap spray paint.

I put a little french stencil on it to.

My sewing class,

My class was not on over easter so I practising making some cushions and some little hearts.

I picked up this fabric in hickeys, I just love the colours in it.

I used it to upholster the chair and then used some for a cushion also.

Im learning to make bunting and stuffed hearts in my next class and was too eager so I watched some YouTube videos and made this little stuffed heart.

I’m still practising a few designs for the box frames before I start to sell them.

Let me know what you think?

Hope your all enjoying the sun and not stuck in work for too long xx
