Summertime is officially here and whether you are headed away on a sun holiday or having a staycation you might be looking for some new swimwear pieces. I have teamed up with Figleaves to share my fave swimwear pieces from their Summer collection. I prefer to invest in a really good piece of swimwear that will last over time, I also need support and feel more confident when I am wearing a piece that fits me properly. If you are busty like me you will know that the unsupportive string bikinis just don’t support our curves. One of the reasons I love Figleaves is that they have a variety of shapes and styles, you can have mini bikini briefs or high waisted options and you can mix and match. Have a look below at the items I picked up, also, if you are purchasing from Ireland I found the shipping was really quick and I wasn’t waiting long for my order to arrive.
When I am travelling I love to bring both bikinis and swimsuits. I find I can get quite bloated when I am travelling and some days it is nice to just pop on a swimsuit and not worry about your tummy. I am not a big sunbather, if I am sunbathing I will wear a bikini, but for me, my holidays are about adventure and I find swimsuits are great for when you are doing any water activities. The swimsuits I am wearing below I picked up in a size 32DD, that is my bra size and my normal clothing size is a UK 10. I was worried when buying my cup size that the body of the swimsuit would be too small but it actually fitted perfect. When you try these on you will notice that the fabric is firm but stretchy and holds you in.
I loved that I could mix and match my sizes when it came to picking a bikini. Most of us ladies are a different size on top and bottom. I choose a 32DD in the bikini tops and a size UK 12 in the bottoms. I tend to size up with bikini bottoms but I could have gotten away with the size UK 10 in the bottoms. What I loved the most was that I could mix and match bikini tops and bottoms, so you can choose from high waist briefs to mini ones and pick a bikini that would suit your style.
Whether you are lounging by the beach or at a pool it is nice to throw on something light when you need to go to the bar or shops. I also love that these cover-ups roll up nice and small and are easy to pack into your carry on case. These cover-ups are so nice that you could add a belt to them and wear them as day dresses.
I hope you got some inspiration from today’s post. Have you got any trips planned for Summer? Let me know, I am in Italy at the moment so keep an eye out for my Italy travel blog post which will be up soon, in the meantime, you can check out some of my other travel posts here. Let me know which piece was your favourite in the comments section below.
A massive thank you to Figleaves for collaborating on this post.
