Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose

Rhubarb and Rose

This week I got to pop into the gorgeous Molton Brown in Dundrum shopping centre. You might have seen my Vlog and Blog post from last week in which I got to visit Diarmuid’s garden in Dundrum. Well, it was Kelly from Molton Brown who gave me the heads up about Diarmuid’s garden as she knew I was a huge fan. After we visited the garden she kindly let me try out a few bits from Molton Brown.

I am a lover of scent, the stronger and sweeter the better. I think it is because I love the smell of the garden, I am a lover of floral scents and sweet scents. I loved that I was able to try out the different soaps and lotions in the store. There are basins where you can try out the bath and soap washes on your hands. Normally when I am looking for a new scent I smell the bottle and then I am left disappointed when I go to use it and the scent is not as strong. So it was great that I could test it out and then see how the scent lasted on my skin.

After trying out a few scents I settle on the Rhubarb and Rose scent. This smells divine, it smells like a Rhubarb sweet. I got the bath and shower gel, the hand cream and the single wick candle from this collection. I love that you can get candles in the same scent as the body creams and washes.

The hand cream is the perfect handbag size and I used it this week after I had been pottering in the garden and it is the perfect rescue for chapped hands.

I remember we had a patch of Rhubarb that grew out our back garden as a kid. I remember having a lot of rhubarb pie too. I found it really interesting when Kelly told me that the ingredients for the Rhubarb and Rose collection were grown in the Rhubarb Triangle in West Yorkshire. As I get older and as someone who sells handmade items I know how good it is to support local growers and makers and I love how a big brand sources local people for their ingredients.

A scent for the man in your life

I had a good sniff at some of the fragrances for men and I fell in love with the Tobacco absolute scent. The name threw me off a little as who wants to smell like tobacco but it honestly smells delicious. It smells warm, woody with a hint of citrus. This comes in a gift set too if you are stuck for a Fathers day present.

Can’t decide on a scent?

Why not try the smaller travel size sets, this is a great way to try out some of the scents and decide on a fave. My second favourite scent had to be the Orange and Bergamot, I also really liked the Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel scent for a fresh summer fragrance. I did find it hard to settle on a scent because I loved them all but in the end the sweet and floral Rhubarb and Rose got me.

A huge thank you to Kelly from Molton Brown in Dundrum for letting me try out their products and gifting me my faves.

Thanks for reading,

I love the Molton Brown products. If you love the rhubarb and rose fragrance Tesco are doing a limited edition washing up liquid in that fragrance. Not so classy I know But smells nice X

Ooo Rhubarb Rose sounds so interesting! I have only tried their pink pepperpod lotion and ginger extract thickening shampoo from b-glowing. I may have to search this scent out as well!
