My trip to London

London adventure

This week I took a whole two days off!! No teddy bear making, no work and I headed off to London, I was heading to London to the Amara Interior blog awards where I was a finalist in the DIY and craft  category.

Where I stayed?

I stayed in the gorgeous Grange Langthem court hotel, this hotel is a winner for location as it sits just off regent street and it is a 5 min walk from the Oxford street tube station. If you are going to London for the shops then this is the perfect location.

It is also right beside the BBC studios which I thought was really cool.

The hotel has a boutique feel and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I travelled alone and my room was a decent size with a cosy double bed. What I loved the most about this hotel was the checkered tiles on the outside, there is also some really nice pubs close by too.

Getting there?

So I flew with Ryanair and I find it is always cheaper to fly into Gatwick and then I got the Gatwick express train into Victoria train station and then it was one stop on the tube to Oxford street.

I have also started to use the bus more when I visit London as I see so much more when I take the bus, the tube however is really quick and convenient.

Pit stop!

I had a quick pit stop in the amazing Peggy Porschen Parlour, my favourite thing about London is the amazing and quirky cafes and restaurants. Every time I visit I always try and visit somewhere new.

I have more on the Peggy Porschen Parlour by clicking here.

The awards.

The Interior blog awards where held in the stunning Ham yard hotel, this hotel is stunning and was the perfect venue for the awards, the interiors were opulent and quirky.

I got to meet up with the gorgeous Kelly and her husband from home with the Haworths and the lovely Charlotte and her Mam from the home that made me

You might have seen on my snapchat that we really enjoyed the free bar that night.

Rambling!

Nothing beats a walk around the streets of London, The old style townhouses and quirky shops are stunning and gives me inspiration for my own decor and home.

Im not mad into shopping trips anymore as I want to see more of cities when I visit and explore. The museums are free, there is gorgeous parks and there is tons restaurants and cute cafe to visit too.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a read. My next London trip I am hoping to Vlog, if I can get to grips with editing videos. I will be back for the Laura Ashley press day which is always a fun day in London so keep and eye on my Instagram and Snapchat.

Chat soon,

Catherine.
