Bloom in the park 2016

Its officially summer.

Well aren’t we having some amazing weather this week in Ireland. Today was my day off and I got up super early to head to the Bloom flower festival that is on in the phoenix park until Monday 6th of June.

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend and you love all things floral and shabby chic then you will love this.

I paid €20 at the door for my ticket but I think you can buy your ticket online for €18 also under 16 children go free, I was tempted to chance my arm and see if I could get in for free but even though I am small I didn’t get away with it lol.

If you missed my super long snapchat story on bloom then have a flick below of my pics of all the fab show gardens, stalls and flowers from the day.

It was my first time to go to the festival and I cannot believe I haven’t been before.

My best tip is go really early, I arrived around 9am and it was lovely to see everything and chat to gardeners but by 12 it was soooo busy.

I even got a quick snap of the president as he had a wander through all the gardens.

As for shopping I picked up a pretty pink bushy thing ( please remember I am a very amateur beginer gardener and this terminology is perfectly acceptable) so keep an eye on instagram and I will share a pic of it planted in its new home, I also picked up some wax melts and got to meet the lovely Joanne from Island living interiors.

Also I had a few people ask me about parking, I paid €5 to park in the green car park, I came in from the Castlenock entrance to phoenix park so this was easier for me, also if you buy plants there is helpers who bring your items to your car if they are too big and heavy for you.

Well have a peep below and let me know if you are going or have been and what your fave things from the day were in the comments section below.

Chat soon,

Catherine.
