Valentine’s Day gift guide for the retro shabby chic lady.

Tag the boyfriends, girlfriends and husbands or even treat yourself.

Eeek its almost Valentine’s day and even if you love it or loath it you might find it hard to escape from it.

It falls so soon after my birthday so me and the mister don’t buy big gifts, I normally buy him flowers when their really for me or I’l make him something handmade and he will make me dinner, however I see it as another reason (excuse) to treat myself, self love is the best love after all.

I have tried to include items below that are for all budgets, all items are well under 100 euro and I even have some cute jewellery for only 6 euro.

If the lady in your life loves her vintage shabby chic inspired items then take a peak below.

I also have included some small businesses that I have bought from over the last year as I love to show these guys support and try where possible to shop local and small.

Scroll below and let me know your faves.

First on the list is this to cute for words retro radio inspired bag from Accessorize. A Roberts radio would be fab but if that’s out of your budget then she will definitely love these!

You can get this here at accessorize.com

I just love these initial cups and you might have seen these on my Instagram, these are by Bombay Duck and you can get them for £12.99 from ihearthomes.co.uk

Every Insta fashionista needs a light up box to display her cute phrases for her Instagram pics, now Santa failed to bring this to me at Christmas so lets hope the mister reads this post and pays Moss cottage a visit.

This ladies shop is the cutest and she is in Dublin so perfect for a last minute gift dash.

You can get this smaller one for 22.95 from moss.ie

Buy her paint? I hear you squeal, yes, us crafty ladies love a tin of chalk paint, now even better you could buy her a place in a workshop. The little shop I mentioned above holds workshops so when you head over to look at the light box take a peep at the workshops and maybe get your lady a voucher for a class.

Another skill your crafty ladies will love is learning decoupage, I love the thought of buying someone a present that they will use forever and whats better than them learning a new skill.

The lovely Liz from decoupage.ie holds classes and if your lady is already a decoupage pro then you can stock her up with supplies from this site.

Lots of napkins, glue and wooden items for her to transform.

We love our love hearts, this dried floral heart is 17.50 from next.ie

For £9.99 you can get this sweet love heart chalk board from the sweet Cassie at clarissaandco.co.uk, her items deliver quick from the UK to Ireland and are packaged beautifully.

You can then write your own sweet romantic message to your beau.

We also love our homely scents, now I have been in Dunnes and I have had a sniff of this clay diffuser from Carolyn Donnelly and its delicious, its also a steal at 10 euro and she will love the floral packaging.

Have a peep here at dunnesstores.com

Now for the bling and these are an absolute bargain. The diamond pearl earrings on top are only 6 euro and you can find them here.

The circle of life necklace is so sweet and only 7 euro and you can find that here.

The shop genevievegleeson.com is owned and run by a young local lady from Dublin, she is an absolute doll and a girl boss to keep your eyes on.

I couldn’t do a gift guide and not include a cute tea dress, I couldn’t resist this and bought this earlier in the month and I hope to try and wear it out over Valentines as I just think its so girly and sweet.

You can find this here on closetlondon.com and its £60.

Let me know your faves, I know not everyone loves Valentine’s day but it can be a bit of fun if you choose to and it doesn’t have to be expensive either.

Chat soon,
Catherine.
