My budget DIY shabby bathroom makeover.

Hi everyone.

Today I just want to share my little budget face lift that I gave my en suite bathroom.

Bathrooms can be so expensive and I am saving up for a new shower and tiles but it is going to take me a good while to save up so to take the plain boring look off my bathroom that is beside my master bedroom I decided to give it a quick makeover.

Now a little disclaimer on wallpaper before I start, It is not recommended to have wallpaper in bathrooms as the steam can make it peel and possibly go moldy.

We only use the toilet and sink in this en suite so I decided to do two feature walls however when I get a new shower  and we use this room more then I will remove it.

That is why I went with a budget 6 euro roll from B&Q and not an expensive roll.

I have loads of pics below and the details on all the trinkets too.

The before.

So it was just plain magnolia with some pine and you all know how I feel about pine.

I started off painting the whole room in pure brilliant white paint by B&Q, then i primed and painted all the skirting and door and then hung the paper.

My mam gave me a hand hanging the wallpaper and I think we done a good job considering we are both 4 foot 11.

I went for a bit of a blue theme for this room as I don’t have this color anywhere else in the home.

My fave thing in the room is the pink door, I mixed Autentico antique white and antique rose together to get this color and its a peachy pink shade.

The little wire shelf is from Woodies and 23.99.

The blue sign above is from pennies and the adorable bathroom sign below is from Dunnes and a steal at only 6 euro.

My mini teacup vase below is from Boots and 3 for 2 in the gift section.

I love this Ikea bin but think it is too cute for a bin so I have some towels in it and the baby blue shade towel is from pennies.

Blondie is giving me the clap of approval.

Let me know if you have done any budget makeovers in your hoe as I love to see them and don’t forget to tag me in your projects over on Instagram.

Chat soon,

Catherine.
