Primark homeware haul | Video

Winter bedroom refresh

This week I had the pleasure of popping along to the Pennies ( Primark in the UK ) press day. This was my first time to go to the press day and we got a sneak peek into what is coming into stores for Spring Summer 2018. I was delighted when I got a gift card when I was leaving, so, I decided to head to my local Pennies in Blanchardstown and I got some homeware items to refresh my guest bedroom. I wanted to make my guest bedroom more inviting and cosy for Winter. I also put together a video on my Youtube channel so you can see how I styled it up in my bedroom and have a better look at the items I got.

The colours in my guest bedroom are quite neutral with some greys, lilacs and whites. As I have the floral wallpaper as the main feature, I wanted pieces that wouldn’t take away from the paper but pieces that would sit nicely next to it. I wanted to add some texture to the room so I went for sequin cushions, fake fur throw and frills. I wanted pieces that you want to touch and feel when you go into the room. My whole haul came to €105, so if you are on a budget then you could easily change up your bedding and get some new pieces and not break the bank. I got a lot for my money.

I fell in love with the sequin cushions, my only issue with the sequin cushions was that they have no zipper. I also got a set of two cushions for €9 and these came with a zipper. Anyone who has cats or kids in their house knows how dirty things can get, so, I love being able to unzip and throw into the washing machine.

The duvet set I got was a steal at €20 for a double size, it came with two pillowcases also. I wanted a second white duvet set so that when people stayed over I had a spare set to put on. For the end of the bed, I got a gorgeous knit style blanket for €20. I bought this so I could pick up on the colours of the sequin cushions.

I wanted to add a little bit of Christmas to the room so I got this fab golden reindeer, this little chap was only €8. I also got an adorable mini stag snowglobe for €3. After seeing Zoella with a copper style cup on her Youtube I decided I wanted one too so I got this gorgeous copper cup for €5. To add a bit of twinkle I got these bulb style battery pack lights. I just love battery pack lights. They are great for spaces where you have limited plug sockets.

I hope you liked my little homeware haul. Please check out my Youtube video below to get a better look and don’t forget to pop over to my Instagram and say Hi and let me know what is your favourite piece of the haul.

This is just lovely!!! Love that colour scheme, I used to be obsessed with copper (still am to be honest, but it's now leaving room for something else haha) but I am now in love with rose gold and gold, and pastels thrown next to these colours are just dreamy! My guest bedroom is sort of pink, and I'm now thinking of ways to introduce these metallic colours! šŸ™‚ Went to Primark yesterday and couldn't find any of your gorgeous steals! šŸ™ I did end up getting this cute copper wire Xmas tree with a retro bulb in the middle – love it! šŸ™‚ Hope you have a lovely week! :)Diana xxxhttp://diasway.co.uk/box-frame-autumn-diy/
