Christmas decor in dainty's

Hi everyone!

It’s that time of year again, Christmas is really busy for me as I work in retail so my days are super busy but I wanted to share a few pics of my Christmas decor with you.

This year is my first proper year in my new home so I treated myself to some new decorations.

I generally have a red and gold theme and try and warm up the rooms to make them extra cosy.

I also like to shop locally and got these cable knit socks from a local crafter.

I’m obsessed with little vintage bikes do couldn’t resist this little chap and he is from dunnes stores.

I love to hang little decorations everywhere, you don’t have to keep them for the tree.

I put them on door handles, in tea cups, even in the bathroom, keeps the cat entertained having swinging nik naks everywhere.

The wooden sign above hall table was from heatons and an absolute bargain at €7 as its solid wood. Something you will have for a very long time.

Another bargain is my merry Christmas door mat which was half price from woodies.

My wreath is from dunnes stores for €25 and I got a metal hanger for it for €5. This makes it easier to hang but you could also use sticky hooks to hang your wreath.

I would love to make handmade wreaths but I haven’t got the time at the moment but it is definitely something I will eventually try.

The kitchen!

I’m a sucker for cute signs and couldn’t resist this mistletoe one and this was also half price from woodies.

The let it snow sign is from homestore and more and I slotted it inside the wreath to add sparkle!

I had red gingham chair cushions so it was easy to add some more hints of red to make more festive.

I added a long garland from dunnes stores for €25 and then added red gingham ribbon to my plant pots and coffee pots to tie them in with each other.

I bought a metre of red gingham fabric from ikea and I will make a table runner and napkins for the table.

The house is not complete without a tree!

I have an artificial tree, I love the smell of a real tree but I prefare the hassle free artificial ones and my cat would probably keep climbing it.

My tree is a gold theme. It’s nothing special but the gold makes the room really warm and cosy.

I got the little train set from homestore and more and it was €14.99.

Let there be light!

I got a set of super bright warm white lights from homestore and more for €25 which were half price.

It’s great to wait before you buy some new decorations as a lot of offers on in December.

I picked a few items up on Black Friday too.
