Room tour

Over on my Youtube channel this week I am sharing my guest bedroom decor. I know you guys are eager for a Master bedroom tour but I am waiting to get some work done in my bedroom but I am hoping for a tour in August. So, I decided to give you a decor fix and I gave a tour of my guest bedroom. I say guest but it is mainly where the cats like to sleep. This is my fave room downstairs, I just love the wallpaper. I kind of want this wallpaper in my room I just love it! My guest bedroom is in the same style of decor as the rest of my home. I have it really girly and as it is a small room I have it painted in bright colours to make it look bigger.

The wallpaper and paint

On the walls, I have used Laura Ashley paint in the shade cotton. This is a really nice shade next to the wallpaper. You don’t have to get this exact paint, you could get a similar shade from a cheaper brand if you are on a budget. For the wallpaper, I used the Grace, Pale Grape paper. I just love the print of this paper.

All of the pieces of furniture are second hand and upcycled. I got the double bed for free and you can check out my headboard make over here. I also got the bedside lockers and large mirror for free too and these were some of the pieces I painted when I began to up cycle furniture a few years ago.

Bedding

As the print of the wallpaper stands out so much in the room I went for neutral bedding to make it less fussy. I went for the Josette duvet set. I love this because although it is a white duvet set it has gorgeous embroidery detail on the pillow case and down the centre of the duvet.

I popped a throw on the bottom of the bed to pick up on the colours and throws are also perfect for the cats to sleep on too.

The trinkets

As I had saved money from up cycling the furniture it meant I could spend my money on cute accessories. My favourite accessory in this room has to be the Pineapple lamp. I have the smaller sized one and I love how it adds a bit of fun to the room. There is also a larger sized one but if you look online you will be able to find tons of fun pineapple accessories for your home.

I also have some teacup trinkets in the room to add a touch of my personality. I popped in my retro radio too that I used to have in my kitchen.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. I tried to link to as much as I could and also link to similar items. Don’t forget to check out the Youtube video and let me know what is your favourite piece in the room.

Thanks for popping by,
