Hand painted mini rocking chair.

Hi everyone.

I just want to share a few pics of this adorable mini rocking chair that I gave a little shabby chic face lift.

This chair was a birthday gift for a little dolly called Abigail who has her very own big girl room and I thought this would be adorable in it.

I used Autentico eggshell in the shade Vanille and on the pink spindles I used a crown tester pot of baby pink.

The chair needed three coats of paint as the shade Vanille doesn’t have as good coverage as other shades I have used.

The bow moulding was from shabby.ie.

Blondie in the quality control department testing the chair.

I got this chair off adverts.ie and highly recommend looking on your local second hand sites as these chairs can be very expensive.

As this was going to be a present for a one year old I made sure to prime the chair for some extra adhesion to help stop the paint from chipping.

I used the autentico primer.

Whilst trying to take some pics Blondie decided to steal the show, she just cant resist a camera and thinks its time for posing.

This was one of my fave upcycle paint jobs, especially that it was going to a little cutie who will hopefully get a lot of use out of it, even when she outgrows it she can use it for her dollies and it will add a touch of vintage flair to the room.

Don’t forget to tag me in your projects and leave the link to your blog in the comments section.
