Lady in red, my autumn style.

Hiya,
Thanks for stopping by.
Today I just want to share this adorable outfit I picked up. I am still struggling to adapt to autumn style and the struggle is real to find cute dresses so I have changed my style up a little and trying some skirts and tops.

I adore the vibrant color of this skirt and it will definitely brighten up the darkest of winter mornings.
I teamed my skirt with a cutesy blouse for work wear but this would also be perfect with a high neck ribbed top for night time and bare legs.

You can find the link to my skirt here on dorothyperkins.com

My fave thing about a red dress or skirt is that you get to wear a red lip! well I use it as an excuse anyway.
Mt red lippy is the Estee Lauder high intensity lip color in hot cherry and you can find it here.

Thanks for reading.
Please share your fun autumn fashion with me and don't forget to leave the link to your blog below.

My shabby personalised wedding frames.

Hi everyone.

I just want to share these personalised frames that I have added to my Etsy shop.
I love making these and each one has their own special message.

For blue one below I put in the lyric of the first dance song and the names and dates for the wedding.
The cream one was a thank you frame for the mother of the bride.
Each of the hearts are hand stitched and I use fabric for the backing.

You can order through my Etsy shop here.
You can also mail me through the contact section on the blog also and I can accept paypal but please note that payment is required up front for personalised items.

Prices for the wedding frames are 30 euro/22 pound and postage costs are extra.

Have a flick below for more pics.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Fell free to message me anytime with any questions.

Mini Cath kidston homeware haul.

Hiya,
So today I was at a work meeting in Tipperary and I had a pit stop on the way home to the Cath Kidston store in the Kildare village outlets.
This is the cutest shopping village and very shabby chic.
All the shops look like little cottages.
I managed to pick up loads for 50euro and got lots of bargains.
I have lots of pics below and prices.
As I was in the outlet store some of the prices and items I got might not be in the normal stores like the one on Grafton st in Dublin.

These cups were in a set and they were 8 euro for two. I bought two sets and they came in the most adorable little boxes. I am going to keep the boxes and use them to store thread and bits for sewing.

I got this mini soap set to display in the bathroom. I had seen someone on Instagram displaying the little bottles on a bathroom shelf and loved it so i picked up this set for 8.50 euro.

This ticket holder I actually got for himself.
He was using an old oyster card holder from the tube in London to hold his cards as he hates bulky wallets.
It broke on him a few weeks ago and has been looking for something to hold his cards since so when I seen this for 4 euro I had to get it for him.
He was very pleased and the ditsy floral doesn't bother him at all.
He thinks its quite fabulous actually.

Next is my fave!
This apron was 12euro! I made an apron in sewing class last year and you wouldn't make one for this price in this gorgeous fabric!.
Apologies for the bad selfie.

I was delighted to see that they had loads of fabric and couldn't believe the prices.
I got this meter of fabric below for 12 euro and its heavy curtain fabric.
I could of bought more but couldn't make up my mind on prints.
I am back in sewing class next week and want to use the fabric below for cushions for my kitchen chairs.

Thanks for reading.
Let me know if you have any of the cute items above and share your shabby bargains with me.

Hand painted mini rocking chair.

Hi everyone.
I just want to share a few pics of this adorable mini rocking chair that I gave a little shabby chic face lift.
This chair was a birthday gift for a little dolly called Abigail who has her very own big girl room and I thought this would be adorable in it.
I used Autentico eggshell in the shade Vanille and on the pink spindles I used a crown tester pot of baby pink.
The chair needed three coats of paint as the shade Vanille doesn't have as good coverage as other shades I have used.
The bow moulding was from shabby.ie.

Blondie in the quality control department testing the chair.
I got this chair off adverts.ie and highly recommend looking on your local second hand sites as these chairs can be very expensive.

As this was going to be a present for a one year old I made sure to prime the chair for some extra adhesion to help stop the paint from chipping.
I used the autentico primer.

Whilst trying to take some pics Blondie decided to steal the show, she just cant resist a camera and thinks its time for posing.

This was one of my fave upcycle paint jobs, especially that it was going to a little cutie who will hopefully get a lot of use out of it, even when she outgrows it she can use it for her dollies and it will add a touch of vintage flair to the room.

Smart shorts.

Good evening everyone.

As promised here is the link to the shorts and blouse that I posted earlier this morning on Instagram.
September is a funny month and I am struggling to find nice autumn dresses so for a change I picked up these shorts.
I also noticed that there is a lot of skirts in the shops right now so I might have a ramble after work one of the days and try some.
I am not a massive fan of dark colors so I loved the pink blush tone of these shorts and they are still perfect for autumn.
The little blouse is a comfy jersey material with lace on top so perfect for work.
Both of the links are below.

Let me know if you have found any cute dresses or tried anything new for autumn.

#happymail

Hello everyone!
Everyone loves getting happy mail, this month I bought one of the ihearthomes happy mail boxes.
I had been following this company on Instagram for ages and when the theme for the month was afternoon tea I just had to pick a box.

ihearthomes started a monthly subscription service back in April, you can like me however just buy that months box if you like the sounds of that months theme.
The theme for August was afternoon tea and this September the theme is 'Paris is always a good idea' so i think I need to splurge again.

There are three price levels starting at £10 and I was feeling flush and bought the £28 box.
I just want to share below some of the gorgeous goodies I got.
The boxes would make fantastic gifts as there is so many items put in and so much fun rummaging through like a kid at Christmas.

I also have to say thank you as they didn't charge me extra postage to ship to Ireland which I was willing to pay extra.
